The Woodstock FestivalThe Woodstock Festival

Today for Woodstock Week I listened to one of the coolest albums I’ve listened to so far. This album was the first out of three albums in the 3 record set “Woodstock: Music From the Original Soundtrack And More”. I thought it was cool to listen to the same music that was heard at the most famous rock and roll concert in history.

Listening to this record was especially groovy since the vinyl version really made me feel like I was actually there. This specific album included the works of John B. Sebastian, CSNY, Canned Heat, Richie Havens, Country Joe & The Fish, Arlo Guthrie, Sha-Na-Na. and Joan Baez. I especially enjoyed the song “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes” by CSNY. It was amazing to hear the harmonies I had heard on the studio version performed so well live. This album was great to listen to and really made me feel as if I was actually at Woodstock in 1969.

Have you ever been listening to a live recording of a song and felt like you were actually there? Comment below!
